About Us |
Cascade House Australia was created through Robyn's
love of embroidery, which started from a very early age, encouraged by her
mother who was an exceptional tailorless and 2 grandmothers who all taught her
to knit, sew, embroider and crochet ( this took a lot of patience on the part of
one grandmother). As a school girl she won many prizes at the Brisbane Royal
Agricultural Show. As Robyn's family grew up she went back to her passion of
embroidery and found she wasn't able to find quality Australian yarns at a
reasonable price, she set about producing them. And as they say it was a little
like topsy, it just kept growing and growing, to where it is today. Robyn is now
joined by her husband Noel in the business. Cascade House Australia is situated at Creswick in the centre
of the Golden Triangle approximately 15km from Ballarat in central Victoria.
Creswick is an historic gold mining town as is evident from the number of
disused mine shafts in the area. Cascade House is totally Australian and is now one of the
largest producers of Fine Embroidery Yarns and Ribbons in Australia. Where
possible our yarns are produced in Australia from Australian sheep and goats
fleece to finished yarns of various types in our own mill. Cascade House will always endeavour to produce the best
quality at the best possible price for you the embroiderer. Cascade House threads are sold throughout Australia, in
selected Needlework and Craft Stores that service you the embroiderer and also
exported to 8 countries, the latest being Turkey. Our products are Not sold in
